Open Auditions!

StageWest will be holding Open Auditions for the play “Stranger in the Attic” on the following dates:

Friday June 14, 2019 at 6:00 pm
Saturdays June 15 and 22 2019 at 11:00 am
Sunday June 23 2019 at 2:00 pm

All Auditions will be held at 639 Elm Street in Cheney in the Lower level of the building. Use the entrance on Huron Street.

“Stranger in the Attic”

by John Kaasick; a Comedy Thriller

StageWest Community Theatre is proud to announce that the first production of the 2019-2020 season is the Grand Premier on the West Coast of John Kaasik’s play “Stranger In The Attic”.

STRANGER IN THE ATTIC is set in the country home of freelance writer Brian Hollander and his wife Dana, their quiet life is unexpectedly upset by the arrival of a stranger named Kendrick, who is offering an exclusive story to Brian about a murder that has not happened yet! Brian pursues discussions of the story with Kendrick, and meets his neighbors Douglas and Margaret Brendan who tell Brian and Dana a disturbing story about a stranger who may be stalking them. Detective Hal Nelson comes into the play to try and unravel these interlocking stories and prevent a murder from happening.

Author John Kaasik is a prolific & award winning writer of mystery dramas, including Assassin’s New Friend, Murder by Mistake, and Piano Lessons for Dad, awarded Honorable Mention by the New Works of Merit play competition He also writes comedies such as The Servant’s Last Serve where a wealthy Londoner wills his estate to his cat.

StageWest CT performs three plays a season. Volunteers build sets, create costumes, manage front & back of house, perform, direct and more!

In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years.

“It’s A Wonderful Life” Stage Play @ Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 639 Elm St. in Cheney, WA

– Friday & Saturday performances start at 7 pm and Sunday afternoon performances begin at 3 pm. there will be a Dinner Theatre on Saturday Dec 15. Dinner starts @ 6 pm with the performance at 7.
